And this the 2nd instalment of the Vans global brand campaign - Always Pushing


Just like the first one, it is centered on Little Simz
With the addition of her skate counterpart Helena Long



The idea was to offer an intimate, authentic look into what it's like to deal with the pressures of being a musician. From writing and recording music to performing it in front of a sea of people







To achieve this, we shot Simz during a real performance in front of a real crowd in Johannesburg, South Africa



We wanted the fans to feel as though they're a part of the story. Fenn O'Meally did an awesomome job with her crowd portraits



We had our film director Adriaan Louw with his bolex, two camera operators with mini DVs and our brand marketing director Patrick with his iPhone (whose footage we ended up using 😂 ), right in the thick of it as Simz jumped in to spit bars


This is one I'll never forget 🫶 🇿🇦
